Position Summary

GNS Healthcare is seeking a talented and highly motivated intern to support the Project Management team. The role will be responsible for projects related to Precision Medicine and Pharma Commercial Projects and report to the Associate Director, Project Management. The time frame for this internship is June 2018 - August 2018. 


  • Actively contribute and listen during weekly project team meetings
  • Assist and maintain project documentation on Confluence (Collaboration and documentation management portal)
  • Help optimize Confluence by using key words to search relevant documents on projects
  • Assist with creation of new templates in MS Word/ Powerpoint/ Excel for Project Risk Management
  • Review and update Deal Desk worksheet template
  • Assist in writing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for WorkFront (Project Management software) on new feature functionality rollout. Example: Managing PTOs (personal time off) in WorkFront for resource management functionality, using and linking custom forms to projects and other tasks as identified.
  • Learn to identify, communicate and propose resolution of any issues to appropriate members to ensure project success.
  • Share ideas or best practices.
  • At the end of the internship, present a SWOT Analysis and a demonstration of work accomplished, lessons learned and suggestions for future internship program to GNS Project Management team members.


  • Ideal applicants would be an MPH graduate or relevant graduate student.
  • Interest in or familiarity with healthcare, biology, pharmaceutical, or biotech a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to learn new software and department-specific applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to perform well in a team.
  • Problem solver who takes initiative to drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude a must!
