Position Summary

GNS Healthcare is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to spearhead marketing and communications initiatives for GNS Healthcare. The primary responsibility is to develop and execute on the marketing and communications strategy for GNS as a company, as well as product marketing for the individual solutions and platforms that GNS provides to the pharmaceutical, care delivery, and managed care sectors. This hands-on individual will build a marketing and communications strategy aligned to GNS’s strategic goals and objectives while working closely with senior leadership, product development, project management, business development, and sales teams to develop and execute the strategy. This is a high- profile role in a fast-paced environment that will have an impact on the future of healthcare. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing strategies that:increase brand awareness for GNS in the pharmaceutical, care delivery, and managed care domains;support currently developed solutions developed by GNS, tailored for the pharmaceutical, care delivery, and managed care domains; and support the launch of new solutions by GNS, tailored for the different client markets.
  • Partner closely with sales, product, and the technical teams to create and execute on a strategy to ensure success in competitive positioning, market awareness, and sales execution.
  • Create and execute programs that drive increased adoption of solutions and active customer engagement utilizing a full range of on line and multi-media services (podcasts, video, interactive presentations, webinars, social media, PR, outside experts, etc.).
  • Develop and implement thought leadership, social media, and public relations programs.
  • Own the marketing communications strategy including branding, public relations, advertising, white papers, trade shows, seminars and events collateral materials, analyst and market research management, and website design and content either directly or on an outsourced basis.
  • Implement marketing organization methodologies and processes for reporting and capturing metrics to measure and improve program effectiveness; implement best practices and processes to improve and streamline integrated marketing activities.
  • Manage, coach, and inspire a small team of both in-house and external marketing professionals.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in marketing communications, business management, and strategic marketing. Experience with marketing SaaS healthcare solutions and/or healthcare technology networks is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field of study. Advanced degree desired.
  • Aptitude for quantitative/computational, scientific, and medical concepts and ability to digest and communicate complex ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead global marketing teams and to attract and retain top talent.
  • Exemplary record of developing and implementing marketing and lead generation strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.
  • Experience successfully working cross-functionally with product development, technical teams, and senior leadership to drive successful solution/product introductions.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurial high-growth environment preferred.
  • Experience with digital market/lead generation techniques including email, social media, chat, SEM/SEO and blogs.
  • Strong experience in leading strategic and tactical planning, including long-range strategy formulation, competitive and customer analysis, program development, budget formulation, and management.
  • Travel estimated at 20%; primarily focused on industry events and customer interactions.
