We are looking for an exceptional software engineer with a background in statistical physics, causal modeling and / or probabilistic machine learning, you will help develop and implement algorithms for the GNS REFS™ causal modeling platform. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Develop, support and implement algorithms for the GNS REFS™ causal modeling platform.
  • Work as part of a small (3-7) and agile development team for overall successful delivery of our products
  • Responsible for all phases of software development including engaging stakeholders to understand needs, testing, documentation, deployment, troubleshooting user issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience developing applications using C++.
  • Object Oriented Design and Development.
  • Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics, or M.S with proven research experience in numerical analysis and algorithm development.
  • Linux.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

Good to have skills:

  • Solid grounding in applied mathematics and/or computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures.
  • Background in healthcare, bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, molecular biology.
  • Experience with Message Passing Interface(MPI).
  • Familiarity with linear and generalized linear models.
  • Understanding of Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) methods.
  • SQL Experience with relational databases, designing schemas and formulating complex queries.
