VP/Director of Human Resources

The VP/Director of HR will be leading the recruiting efforts throughout the company with a lens towards elevating our employment brand and candidate experience. The ideal candidate will be driving all recruiting initiatives in addition to sourcing, and identifying candidates for technical and senior level positions.  The candidate must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of specialized functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company’s organizational structure as well as extensive knowledge of personnel and procedure, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

This position will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

Recruiting responsibilities:

  • Build employment brand in the talent marketplace
  • Develop sourcing strategies through a variety of channels including the use of social media platforms, employee referral program, networking, and unique opportunities/events
  • Source and assess candidates utilizing innovative and cost effective recruiting techniques
  • Partnering closely with the leadership team to execute programs and practices


  • Responsible for overall HR department
  • Initiate onboarding
  • Develop training
  • Retention Initiatives
  • Oversee and manage the work of reporting HR staff. And encourages the ongoing development of the HR staff.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or 7-10 years of HR Generalist experience; preferably in Biotechnology/pharmaceutical company
  • Strong business acumen; understands the key financial drivers and dynamics related to growth
  • Able to effectively manage multiple high priority projects while meeting established timelines
  • A robust talent management strategy to keep and develop talent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in, or understanding of a rapid growing startup culture is ideal
  • Highly analytical and strong emotional intelligence
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality information
